Healthy eating.... Rice Vs Bulgur wheat

The never ending struggle with overweight forced me to find ways for healthy eating.
While shopping for groceries in the Indian stores, saw a broken wheat product called Bulgur wheat and thought of substituting rice for Bulgur wheat as wheat is always better than rice in many ways and found out that it almost  tastes like rice and is more filling than rice.
Bulgur is a quick-cooking form of whole wheat that has been cleaned, parboiled, dried, ground into particles.Often confused with cracked wheat, bulgur differs in that it has been pre-cooked. Bulgur may have originated in Bulgaria, and has been eaten all around the Eastern Mediterranean for thousands of years.
Bulgur is high in fiber and rich in B vitamins, iron, phosphorus and manganese. Bulgur wheat has a lower glycemic index than rice. The glycemic loads of 100g of brown or white rice at 11, while the glycemic load of bulgur is 7 for  100g. This means bulgur is somewhat better for blood sugar and causes less inflammation than rice, which makes bulgur a bit better than rice for preventing or controlling heart disease or diabetes.
Check out this nutritional comparison bulgar and brown rice............
